Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Wesley Chapel seeks an accomplished Senior Speech Language Pathologist to lead our clinical team and guide patients through speech and communication recovery. You will provide expert direct care, mentor staff, and participate in program development within a nationally recognized rehabilitation system.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations (Florida).
• CCC certification (ASHA).
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in speech therapy or management; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years of speech language pathology experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder or specialty certifications when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients and build rewarding relationships across physical, mental, and emotional needs to aid recovery.
• Assist with speech language in-service education and our student program.
• Mentor and train new colleagues and other departments as needed.
• Delegate and supervise speech therapy assistants and technicians.
• Celebrate patient victories along the way.
