Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Wesley Chapel is seeking a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to lead patient-focused care and guide a team in a supportive inpatient setting.

You will provide direct speech-language pathology services, mentor staff, participate in in-service education, and support ongoing professional growth. This role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with teams, and delivering high-quality rehab outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• Successful completion of SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in speech therapy or management; Master's or Doctorate preferred.
• Minimum of two years speech language pathology experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder or specialty professional certifications (when eligible).

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care to patients and building rewarding relationships by understanding each patient's needs to aid in their recovery.
• Assisting with speech language in-service education and our student program.
• Mentoring and training new colleagues and other departments as needed.
• Delegating and supervising speech therapy assistants and technicians.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
