Qualifications

• Must possess or secure and maintain appropriate state adjuster licenses and continuing education credits.
• 6 years of insurance experience handling high complexity, high severity claims; specialty claims noted in Essential Job Functions.
• Or 8 years of insurance experience handling high complexity, high severity claims; specialty claims noted in Essential Job Functions.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate and resolve Specialty Claims across multiple jurisdictions.
• Manage primary casualty, umbrella/excess casualty, environmental/pollution, and complex class action claims as needed.
• Develop rapport with agents, insureds, claimants, experts and attorneys; provide proactive service.
• Attend depositions, mediations, and trials as needed; monitor defense budgets and reserves.
• Report trends to senior management and underwriters; support litigation strategy.
