Busey Bank is seeking a Special Assets Commercial Underwriter II to deliver precise credit underwriting supporting portfolio management and new business development for assigned Relationship Managers.

Responsibilities include financial statement analysis, CCAR memo preparation, collateral evaluation, and participation in pipeline meetings, with potential bonuses or incentives based on performance. This role focuses on Denver and surrounding markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance required.
• 5+ years of Commercial Credit experience.
• 2+ years of Commercial Underwriter experience.
• Strong communication and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Spread and analyze financial statements and compute Debt Service Coverage or Fixed Charge Coverage ratios.
• Assess cash flow, liquidity, profitability, and leverage to gauge credit risk.
• Prepare CCAR memos with key borrower risks and strengths for relationship managers.
• Evaluate collateral and industry data to inform credit decisions.
• Assist with portfolio management tasks and monitoring reports.
• Support relationship managers with opportunity memos for new/existing relationships.
• Maintain knowledge of loan policy and systems (including nCino).
• Participate in sales activities with relationship managers.
• Approve loans within authority and escalate beyond limits.
