Busey Bank is seeking an experienced Special Assets Commercial Underwriter II to provide accurate and timely credit underwriting for the Commercial Banking team. You will support Relationship Managers, prepare clear CCAR memos, and assess borrower risk with ratios and collateral analysis in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes independent thinking, handling complex issues, and collaboration with lending staff to ensure sound portfolio management and new business development

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance.
• 5+ years of Commercial Credit experience.
• 2+ years in Commercial Underwriter role.

Responsabilidades

• Perform financial statement spreading and ratio analysis per guidelines.
• Assess cash flow, liquidity, profitability, and leverage to evaluate credit risk.
• Prepare CCAR memos with strengths/weaknesses of borrowers.
• Evaluate collateral and industry data for loan risk.
• Support portfolio management through covenant testing and reviews.
• Assist Relationship Managers with opportunity memos.
• Maintain knowledge of Loan Policy and systems (nCino).
• Participate in sales calls with Relationship Managers.
• Approve loans within authority; escalate for outside authority as needed.
• Contribute to pipeline and renewal knowledge.
