Job summary

10x Genomics, Inc. seeks a Senior Research Associate to join the Spatial Team, advancing technologies that map proteins and other biomolecules within intact tissue.

You will collaborate with scientists to screen antibodies, optimize protocols, prepare libraries, operate instruments, and perform initial data analysis, ensuring top-quality results across the workflow. You will work with experts in spatial analysis, develop tools in spatial biology, and contribute to high-profile projects.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Cell Biology, Immunology, Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Biology, or related field.
• 5+ years (BS) or 3+ years (MS) of hands-on industry experience.
• Experience with tissue processing, histology, immunohistochemistry, immunostaining, multiplex protein assays and/or in situ hybridization techniques.
• Experience working with antibodies and familiarity with mAb QC, conjugation and/or functional testing.
• Proven track record of using, optimizing and troubleshooting protocols in tissues.

Responsibilities

• Perform protein assays on tissue sections on microscope slides.
• Screen antibody clones via high-throughput fluorescent microscopy imaging and data pre-processing.
• Execute in situ library preparation workflows.
• Troubleshoot assays and optimize protocols for specific tissue samples.
• Deliver processed image data to computational biologists for analysis.
• Maintain documentation for project records.
