Job summary

10x Genomics is seeking a highly motivated scientist to drive research and product development in Spatial Biology. You will design, run, and troubleshoot assays for spatial transcriptomics, collaborating with chemistry, computational biology, software, engineering and microfluidics across a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary team.

The role requires a PhD in Molecular Biology or related field, 3+ years in situ hybridization and imaging, and strong coding skills in R or Python.

Qualifications

PhD in Molecular Biology, Biophysics, Biochemistry or related field.
3+ years in situ hybridization, imaging and spatial techniques.
Proven ability to design novel molecular biology assay schemes.
Strong analytical skills with R, Python or AI-aided coding.

Responsibilities

Design and execute experiments to support development, optimization, and verification of novel assays for our spatial platform.
Perform in-depth analysis and provide comprehensive documentation and presentation to drive decision.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Computational Biology, Software, Microfluidics, Operation and Assay Productization.
Contribute to protocol development and support protocol transfer to customer facing documentation.
