Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a seasoned Mechanical/ Aerospace Engineer to lead design, development, and test of spaceflight structures and systems. You will apply engineering methods to design, install, modify and analyze hardware, with emphasis on integration and testing across products.

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 8+ years designing aerospace or launch-vehicle mechanical systems.
• Strong mechanical design and integration skills with 3D modeling tools.
• Know-how in fabrication, integration, and quality control of tubes/piping and machined components.
• Familiarity with GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Ability to work independently on rapid development programs.

Responsibilities

• Applies engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, repair mechanical systems hardware.
• Support integration activities and release engineering artifacts across the product lifecycle.
• Investigates customer data to evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs.
• Diagnoses equipment failures and provides recommendations to maintenance teams.
