Job summary

Blue Origin LLC designs and builds spaceflight systems and aims to enable millions to live and work in space. This position supports New Glenn's development and operations, leading design, development, and testing of spaceflight structures and mechanical systems.

You will apply your engineering expertise, leadership, and commitment to quality to ensure safe, repeatable spaceflight, with emphasis on integration tasks and collaboration across teams on product lifecycle artifacts.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 8+ years in Production Support Engineering for aerospace/mechanical systems.
• Strong 3D modeling and integration skills.
• Experience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Knowledge of fabrication, integration, and QA for tubes/piping and machined parts.
• Able to work independently on rapid development programs.
• Willingness to work a modified A Shift (12pm–8pm).

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, repair structural and mechanical systems hardware.
• Support integration activities.
• Release and support engineering artifacts across product lifecycle.
• Implement operating procedures and troubleshoot system malfunctions.
• Evaluate design proposals for feasibility, cost, maintenance.
