Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Training Project Lead for the In-Space Systems unit in Reston, VA. You will design and execute lessons, events, and rehearsals for flight operations training across multiple vehicle programs.

Qualifications

• B.S. in engineering, education, or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience developing and executing training for mission support operators/engineers in space/military/government environments.
• Strong facilitation and communication skills to lead technical training and debriefs.
• Experience writing training course materials (objectives, plans, evaluation criteria, activities).
• Ability to travel to support training activities (<10 per year).
• Ability to support varied workday hours, off-hours or shifts as needed.
• Self-starter with coordination skills across programs.
• Proven ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams and build cross-group relationships.
• Commitment to inclusion and trust in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute training for ops controllers, engineering support, AI&T, launch services operators, and payload customers across vehicles within In-Space System program.
• Lead specific training areas or initiatives under direction of senior staff.
• Collaborate with engineers, ground software, flight control operators, and payload customers to ensure relevant training for mission support.
• Run simulators and training assets for hands-on practice and rehearsals.
• Define requirements and support future training simulators and interfaces.
• Evaluate operator proficiency and develop ad hoc training as needed.
• Maintain records of operator training completion.
