Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to own end-to-end development for space-rated avionics, with leadership across a cross-functional team. You will drive requirement definition, design reviews, and integration for TeraWave hardware in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong FPGA, signal/power integrity, and radiation-hardening expertise, along with mentoring junior engineers and ensuring performance in harsh space environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience designing ruggedized/high-reliability hardware for space/defense environments.
• Experience with radiation-hardened design practices and spacecraft avionics.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end development for a space-rated component.
• Lead cross-disciplinary design reviews and trade studies.
• Collaborate with customers to define requirements and architecture.
• Plan and execute engineering tests with data reviews.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers.
