Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a senior avionics engineer to drive requirements, design, analysis, and verification for space-rated components within the Spacecraft Bus Avionics team. You will lead cross-disciplinary efforts from concept through qualification and flight support, ensuring high reliability in harsh space environments.

The role emphasizes end-to-end product development, leadership, and collaboration with customers and engineering teams to meet mission requirements and performance targets.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years designing ruggedized, high-reliability electronics.
  • 8+ years designing switching DCDC power supplies with layout and testing.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end development for a space-rated component.
  • Lead cross-disciplinary team in a fast-paced design environment.
  • Define requirements and design architecture for flight avionics.
  • Plan and conduct engineering tests and data reviews.
  • Mentor junior engineers and approve designs/documentation.
