BlackSky seeks a seasoned Electrical Engineer to lead the power subsystem design for smallsat spacecraft. The role covers the full product lifecycle from requirements derivation to testing, with emphasis on power budgets and system-level diagrams.

You will collaborate with mission architects and suppliers to ensure robust space electronics, employing Altium and rigorous validation in a fast-paced, space-tech environment. Hybrid work in Tukwila, WA.

Formación

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Embedded Systems.
• 6+ years delivering digital/analog embedded hardware.
• Experience designing spacecraft power system concepts.
• Familiarity with power budgets for LEO spacecraft and battery/photovoltaic tech.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as subject matter expert for electrical subsystem design of smallsat spacecraft.
• Champion all phases of electrical subsystem development: design, integration, test, operations, maintenance.
• Develop and maintain Power Budgets, System EICDs, and Power Simulations.
• Support design reviews for requirements and interface compliance.
• Collaborate with mission architects, systems engineers, and program managers on requirements.
• Create/review system-level electrical design docs (flight harnesses, interconnect diagrams, grounding schemes).
• Work with external electronics providers to review designs and resolve issues.
• Develop test plans with integration testers to ensure thorough testing.
• Support unit production line as electrical SME for issues.
• Update designs with component selection and electrical analyses/simulations.
