Blue Origin in Seattle is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to serve as a hardware focal point for digital design across spacecraft bus avionics. You will help define requirements, design, analyze, test, and review avionics hardware using COTS components for space missions, working under senior engineers within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years designing ruggedized high‑reliability hardware with digital design.
• Experience with space‑rated hardware design, requirements, test, or qualification.
• Digital design with FPGAs and CMOS sensors, PCB design with Altium.
• Experience selecting/qualifying COTS components for flight hardware.

Responsibilities

• Act as hardware focal point for digital design and COTS integration across spacecraft avionics.
• Support end-to-end product development for space‑rated components with senior engineers.
• Contribute to design architecture, requirements, and test plans for flight hardware.
• Collaborate on PCB interconnects, signal/power integrity analyses, and EMI/EMC mitigation.
• Contribute to design trade studies evaluating performance, reliability, and obsolescence risk.
• Create technical documentation and support hardware build and inspection activities.
