Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Redondo Beach, CA is seeking a Space Vehicle Systems Engineer - Level 5 to support design integration and mission interfaces for space vehicles. The role requires handling interface control documents, MEL/PEL management, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications include 12+ years in STEM with a higher degree or 8+ years with PhD, plus active Top Secret clearance and SCI access. Travel and a multi-disciplinary team environment are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 12+ years of engineering experience OR Master’s with 10+ years OR PhD with 8+ years of engineering experience.
• Candidate must have active SCI access at time of application and prior to start date.
• Candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance (or equivalent) at time of application and prior to start date and be able to obtain and maintain SCI access.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate space vehicle system integration activities and interface requirements.
• Support mission integration with specialists in Fault Management, EMI/EMC, Contamination Control, Reliability, and Safety.
• Create and manage interface control documents, block diagrams, and traceability matrices.
• Support verification of mission interface control documents and participate in milestone reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR).
