Job summary
Northrop Grumman Corp. in Redondo Beach, CA, seeks a Space Vehicle Chief Engineer (Level 7) to lead vehicle engineering across the program lifecycle and serve as the primary technical interface to the customer.
The role requires a STEM doctorate or master's with extensive experience, active TS/SCI clearance, and ability to travel up to 25%. You will mentor a team of engineers and drive agile program execution to meet schedule, cost, and performance goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 16+ years of relevant experience; 14+ years with a Master’s; 12+ years with a Ph.D.
- Minimum of 5 years leading engineering teams or organizations.
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret/SCI clearance at time of application.
- Experience across full space vehicle engineering lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead vehicle engineering for the program from design to delivery.
- Advise program manager and be primary technical contact to customer.
- Lead multi-disciplinary integration to meet cost, schedule, performance.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers.
- Drive digital ecosystem and transformation initiatives.
- Engage with customers and manage Agile planning and execution.
