Job summary

Trident Systems Inc. is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for remote work to support DoD, IC, and civil space customers.

You will apply systems engineering across R&D and product development, collaborating with program managers and cross-functional teams to deliver capable space electronic systems. The role requires advanced technical judgment, deep analytical skills, and the ability to lead technical activities across mechanical, electrical, software, and firmware disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 4+ years with a master’s degree.
• Experience leading development and delivery of complex space hardware from concept to delivery.
• Strong ability to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Proficiency applying systems engineering methodology to product design and development.
• Ability to balance technical performance with cost and schedule targets.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with diverse engineering teams on advanced RF, processing, networking, and data storage units for space applications.
• Lead systems engineering activities including requirements development, verification, and validation.
• Serve as technical lead for systems engineering and represent function in internal and customer interactions.
• Prepare for and participate in major design reviews and technical reviews.
• Support IR&D and new product development with systems engineering expertise.
• Assist with proposals for new business opportunities.
• Travel to Fairfax, VA HQ up to 25% as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
