Trident Systems is seeking a Chief Advanced Concept Engineer to lead early phase concept development for software-defined processing in space systems. The role emphasizes identifying market opportunities, shaping architectures, and driving cross-functional collaboration with engineering and business development.

The ideal candidate has extensive space systems experience, strong communication skills, and a track record of turning concepts into customer-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 15+ years in space systems.
• Experience delivering radiation mitigated software-defined or reconfigurable processing architectures.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% or more.
• Strong communication skills and ability to drive proposals and roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Lead early phase concept development for spacecraft software-defined processing.
• Engage customers to identify unmet mission needs and turn them into opportunities.
• Develop architectures, white papers, and proposals for capture efforts.
• Minimize size, weight, and power while maximizing capability and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with Business Development on differentiators.
• Serve as a technology evangelist in meetings and events.
