Job summary

Trident Systems is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead and collaborate across RF, processing, networking, and data storage units for space applications. This role emphasizes systems engineering leadership, requirements development, verification, and cross-functional coordination to meet stringent space program needs.

The ideal candidate has deep systems engineering experience, strong judgment, and the ability to work autonomously with high-level objectives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 4+ years with a master’s degree
• Experience leading development and delivery of complex spaceflight or aerospace hardware
• Ability to balance technical performance with schedule and cost targets
• Proven collaboration across mechanical, electrical, software and firmware domains
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with diverse engineering teams on RF, processing, networking, and data storage units for space applications
• Lead systems engineering activities including requirements development, verification, and validation
• Represent systems engineering in internal and customer interactions
• Prepare for and participate in major design reviews
• Support IR&D and new product development with systems engineering expertise
• Support proposal efforts for new business opportunities
• Travel up to 25% to Fairfax, VA as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
