Job summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to support USSF space operations. You will contribute to OTTI IPO and Space Systems Command initiatives, shaping system design, integration, and sustainment of advanced test and training capabilities.

The ideal candidate has a TS clearance, 10+ years with DoD systems engineering, and hands-on experience across space technology disciplines. This on-site role includes travel up to 25% and collaboration with government and industry

Qualifications

Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
10+ years of DoD experience in systems engineering, RDT&E or related programs.
Experience delivering to SPOs/PMOs and related offices.
Experience with RDT&E and test and training materiel systems.
Experience deploying, integrating, operating, and sustaining space test materiel.
Strong knowledge of SE principles and processes.
Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler and SysML.
Knowledge of JCIDS and DoDAF processes and artifacts.
Experience across space tech disciplines (EO/IR, RF, GNC, etc.).
Willingness to work on-site and travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Conduct feasibility studies and concept exploration to evaluate system solutions.
Perform DRM engineering and supporting system analysis.
Develop and refine CONOPS to support mission requirements.
Develop and manage system requirements, ICDs, verification plans, and validation.
Perform change management and technical impact assessment.
Align PPBE activities with technical efforts for OTTI.
Support SE activities through RDT&E, integration, and sustainment.
Collaborate with government and stakeholders to deliver systems.
