Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Process Flow & Control DFX Engineer to design and industrialize production processes for orbital-scale manufacturing. You will lead flow architecture, takt-time optimization, and material flow, driving DFX practices across the full lifecycle of hardware from prototype to volume production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related engineering field.
• 10+ years in manufacturing process engineering, flow design, or production control in product development and high-volume production.
• Experience designing and optimizing manufacturing process flows, line balancing, and process control systems for complex hardware.
• Hands-on SPC, process FMEA, control plans, MES/ERP systems, and production line bring-up.
• DFX principles (DFM/DFT/DFA/DFR) in moving from design to volume production.
• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process Flow & Control Design for satellite modules and subsystems, including production line architecture and takt time optimization.
• Own process control development, SPC, traveler/ Work Instruction systems, MES integration, and data collection workflows.
• Manage process documentation, routing definition, capacity planning, and production line oversight.
• Drive process validation, control plan development, first-article and production readiness reviews to support ramp.
