Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in California is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Process Flow & Control DFX Engineer (Subsystem) to own end-to-end manufacturing process flow and control design for TeraWave production, across subsystem architectures and volume readiness.

You will drive DFM/DFT/DFA/DFR, DFX, SPC, and cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to scale hardware for orbital operation, meeting ambitious reliability and throughput goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor-level engineering degree or higher in a relevant field.
10+ years in manufacturing process engineering in product development and volume production.
Experience designing subsystem-level process flows, line balancing, and process control.
Hands-on SPC, FMEA, control plans, MES/ERP, and production line bring-up.
DFX principles (DFM/DFT/DFA/DFR) applied to scale from prototype to volume.

Responsibilities

Lead subsystem-level manufacturing process flow design across satellite subsystems.
Own subsystem process control development with SPC, monitoring, and data workflows.
Manage process documentation, routing, capacity planning, and cross-subsystem coordination.
Drive design-for-excellence (DFX) across full lifecycle for scalable production.
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ramp production.
