Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Cupertino seeks a Senior Manufacturing Process Flow & Control DFX Engineer to own end-to-end process flow and control design for TeraWave production. You will bridge production line architecture, process control systems, and volume readiness, delivering manufacturable and testable hardware at constellation scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing process engineering, process flow design, or production control in a product development and volume production environment.
• Experience designing and optimizing manufacturing process flows, line balancing, and process control systems for complex hardware.
• Hands-on experience with SPC, FMEA, control plans, MES/ERP systems, and production line bring-up.
• DFX application (DFM/DFT/DFA/DFR) in volume production.

Responsibilities

• Process Flow & Control Design, Integration & Manufacturing.
• Lead manufacturing process flow design for satellite modules and subsystems.
• Own process control development including SPC, data collection, and MES integration.
• Manage process documentation, routing, capacity planning, vendor and internal coordination.
• Drive process validation, control plan development, and production readiness reviews.
• Design for Excellence (DFX) across the manufacturing lifecycle for orbital-scale hardware.
• Design for Manufacturability to maximize yield and throughput at constellation scale.
• Design for Test with inline inspection and data capture for traceability.
• Design for Assembly to reduce cycle time and errors across the line.
• Design for Reliability to ensure defect-free production for long-duration operation.
• Coordinate with supply chain to align flows with material availability and obsolescence mitigation.
• Partner with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to define acceptance criteria and ramp production.
