Job summary

The Marriott Phoenix Resort Tempe at The Buttes is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our team at this resort offering valley views, extensive event spaces, and the award-winning Top of The Rock restaurant.

Open PM shifts; you will support daily culinary operations, assist the Executive Chef with menu development, labor management, purchasing and cost control to maintain high food quality, guest service and profitability.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of culinary leadership experience in a hotel setting.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Passion for guest service and staff engagement.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef in directing culinary operations for outlets and banquets.
• Oversee menu development, labor management, purchasing, and cost control.
• Ensure high standards of food quality, guest service, and profitability.
• Supervise, train, schedule, and recognize team members.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and compliance with regulations.
