Job summary

DIG INN Restaurant Teams is seeking a Sous Chef in New York to support restaurant leaders and drive culinary excellence in a scratch-based kitchen. You will guide Chefs-In-Training, lead during peak service, resolve guest concerns, and model DIG’s culinary standards while training and mentoring the team.

You will participate in pre-shifts, shift management, and ensure tasks meet DIG’s safety standards. This hourly role offers growth opportunities within the DIG organization.

Qualifications

• 1+ year leadership experience in a culinary environment.
• Food Safety Certification required.
• Willingness to grow in our brigade and take on responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead during peak service and train teammates across stations.
• Ensure recipes, procedures, and standards are followed.
• Manage prep lists, waste logs, and inventory with the Chef de Cuisine.
• Supervise shift management and open/close duties with clear communication.
