Job summary

Cencora, Inc. is seeking a Senior Category Manager to lead strategic relationships with generic injectable and biosimilar manufacturers and to negotiate supplier contracts.

The role acts as a critical liaison between external partners and internal teams across Sales, Finance, Legal, and Supply Chain. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of the pharma wholesale/distribution space, strong financial acumen, and outstanding negotiation skills, with experience in managing complex supplier

Qualifications

• Requires broad experience in business administration, accounting, sales, marketing, or related vocations.
• Minimum seven (7) years of directly related and progressively responsible experience.
• Strong understanding of generic sourcing and manufacturing in pharma.
• Experience with supplier contracts and negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage strategic relationships with external generic injectable and biosimilar manufacturers.
• Lead supplier contract negotiations and formulary sourcing strategies.
• Serve as liaison between manufacturers and internal cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain).
• Identify value creation opportunities while aligning with commercialization and sourcing programs.
• Lead manufacturer business reviews and represent Cencora in executive engagements.
• Negotiate distribution service contracts and manage contracting rigor.
• Familiar with wholesale/distribution contract terminology and implications.
• Establish relationships with new generic injectable and biosimilar manufacturers.
• Promote strategic sourcing relationships and manage expectations across networks.
• Support commercialization of new generic launches and resolve supply disruptions.
