Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Sonographer in Wisconsin to support both hospital and clinic settings. The role includes training staff, performing general, vascular, and/or cardiac ultrasound studies, and ensuring quality, accuracy, and patient safety.

A strong background in anatomy and two specialty areas is required, along with ARDMS/ARRT credentials and BLS. You will work a 40-hour week with a structured call rotation, enjoying comprehensive benefits and opportunities

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of anatomy incl. vascular/cardiology.
• Proficient in two of abdomen, vascular, or cardiac procedures.
• Aseptic techniques and accreditation awareness.
• Leadership and ability to guide staff/students.
• Strong communication and patient service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Train and orient staff and students; provide day-to-day direction.
• Assist in interviewing and staff development; address concerns.
• Explain policies; monitor inventory, productivity, and resources.
• Serve as a clinical resource and educate on procedures across departments.
• Operate ultrasound equipment for general, vascular, and/or cardiac studies.
• Review patient records and ensure exam accuracy and proper labeling.
