Omada Health is a digital chronic care provider hiring a senior software engineer for its Solutions Engineering team. The role sits between customers, product, and engineering, designing tailored technical solutions, shaping cross-system integrations, and demonstrating feasibility for prospective and existing clients in a remote-first environment.

You will mentor engineers, lead API design and implementation, and collaborate with commercial, product, and engineering stakeholders to scope

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of production code experience, ideally Ruby on Rails
• Strong PostgreSQL experience
• Experience building and consuming APIs across service boundaries
• Experience with API-driven automation using tools like Tines or n8n
• Comfort with AI-assisted development and judicious use of coding assistants
• Background in customer-facing technical roles and mentoring or leadership
• Strong debugging, optimization, and SDLC skills, with clear communication

Responsibilities

• Design and shape complex, cross-system integrations such as partner APIs.
• Codify reusable templates, standards, and automation for the team.
• Lead root-cause investigations and prevent recurrence.
• Mentor engineers and non-engineers who write code or build automations.
• Partner with commercial, product, and engineering stakeholders to scope solutions.
• Tackle loosely specified problems and produce a technical plan for execution.
• Surface risks, edge cases, security concerns, and downstream impacts.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and assist in investigations.
