Job summary

IBM Global Sales is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to leverage HashiCorp portfolio to design viable client solutions, remove technical inhibitors, and drive opportunities. You will engage with clients to understand requirements and translate them into actionable designs.

You will deliver demonstrations, POCs, and MVPs, stay current on product capabilities, and collaborate with sales, product, and engineering teams to move opportunities forward.

Qualifications

• Pre-Sales / Sales Engineering: Relevant experience in Technical Pre-Sales, Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or equivalent hands-on technical practitioner experience.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of DevOps, cloud, IT operations, security, microservices, containers, and related technologies.
• Enterprise Customer Experience: Experience implementing, demonstrating, or supporting software solutions for enterprise customers.
• Communication: Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
• Problem Solving: Ability to understand complex customer challenges and develop appropriate technical solutions.
• Collaboration: Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success teams.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Clients: Work directly with clients to understand their technical requirements, challenges, and business needs, and identify how HashiCorp solutions can address them.
• Design Client Solutions: Develop viable technical solutions using HashiCorp portfolio capabilities, adapting designs to customer requirements and providing feedback to support solution refinement.
• Deliver Technical Proof Points: Create and deliver demonstrations, POTs, POCs, workshops, solution designs, proposals, and MVPs that demonstrate product capabilities and help advance sales opportunities.
• Showcase Solutions: Apply a "show me, don't tell me" approach to bring solutions to life through hands-on demonstrations and customized technical experiences.
• Maintain Product Expertise: Stay current on the HashiCorp portfolio, product capabilities and limitations, competitive offerings, and relevant customer use cases.
• Support Sales Opportunities: Partner with sales teams throughout the customer journey, providing technical expertise and clearly communicating how proposed solutions address client requirements.
