BetterUp is seeking a Staff Solutions Engineer to serve as the technical architect for its most strategic enterprise engagements, owning large opportunities from discovery through handoff. This senior IC role shapes the SE function and drives AI-augmented workflows across the team.

You'll build ROI narratives for CFO/COO audiences, manage complex, multi-stakeholder deals, and mentor junior SEs while collaborating with Product and Engineering leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Solutions Engineering or Pre-Sales for enterprise SaaS.
• Active, nameable relationships with CIO/CISO/VP Eng buyers.
• Deep fluency across HRIS, LMS, SSO, and API integrations.
• Enterprise security posture, data residency, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR).
• Ability to build ROI narratives for CFO/COO audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical architect on top enterprise opportunities (Key Accounts, Strategic Enterprise, Government) and own full pre-sales cycle.
• Own peer-level relationships with CIO, CISO, and VP Engineering buyers.
• Build business cases in CFO/COO terms and position BetterUp's platform to non-HR buyers.
• Anticipate integration, security, and platform feasibility challenges and present structured recommendations.
• Define and maintain reusable SE assets and blueprint libraries.
• Lead the SE function's AI and automation strategy with pilots and team-wide adoption.
• Coach SEs on navigating complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
• Participate in GTM strategy, product roadmap discussions, and cross-functional leadership.
