Job summary

BetterUp is seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer to lead pre-sales for the most strategic enterprise and government opportunities. You will own the full pre-sales cycle, build ROI narratives, and partner with CIO/CISO and VP Engineering buyers to drive multi-million-dollar growth.

This AI-forward role blends human judgment with automation, guiding architecture decisions, security considerations, and scalable demo assets across the GTM team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Solutions Engineering or Pre-Sales for enterprise SaaS
• Active relationships with CIO/CISO or VP Engineering buyers
• Fluency across HRIS, LMS, SSO and API integrations
• Expertise in security posture, data residency and compliance frameworks

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical architect on large deals, owning pre-sales from discovery to handoff
• Own peer-level relationships with CIO, CISO, and VP Engineering buyers
• Build ROI narratives and position platform in executive terms
• Define reusable SE assets and scalable demo archetypes
• Lead AI and automation strategy within the SE function
• Coach SEs on navigating enterprise deals and multi-stakeholder environments
• Contribute to GTM planning with Product and Engineering leadership
