Databricks Inc. is seeking a Sr. Solution Engineer to lead technical engagement with customers, design architectures, and guide implementations of the Databricks Unified Analytics Platform.

You will collaborate with sales, post‑sales, and product teams to articulate use cases, build proofs of concepts, and drive adoption of Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Koalas across environments. You will travel to customer sites, present reference architectures, and become a trusted advisor.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Proficient in at least one: Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R.
• Experience supporting Public Sector clients.
• Built solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Expertise in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Data Science/ML technologies.
• Desirable: Degree in a quantitative discipline (CS/Applied Math/OR).
• Secret security clearance or willingness to obtain one.

Responsabilités

• Partner with the sales team to help customers understand how Databricks can help solve their business problems.
• Provide technical leadership for customers to evaluate and adopt Databricks.
• Consult on big data architecture, implement proofs of concept for strategic projects, and validate integrations with cloud services and third-party apps.
• Build and present reference architectures, how-tos, and demo apps for customers.
• Promote Databricks open-source projects across developer communities via meetups, conferences, and webinars.
• Travel to customers in your region.
