Job summary

Gong is hiring for a Solutions Engineer in its Industry Expansion vertical, focused on AI-first go-to-market strategies. You will help customers understand Gong’s platform, tailor demos, and design architectures that meet complex business needs across departments.

You will partner with Sales, Customer Success, Support, Product Management, and Engineering to move deals forward, deliver technical blueprints, and create reusable assets for the team.

Qualifications

• Customer facing experience in a solutions engineering role (pre-sales) or a combination of solution engineering and other relevant work experience (ie: Sales Enablement, Operations).
• Experience selling into Financial Services (Banking / Insurance / Wealth), Healthcare (including Life Sciences), or Manufacturing organizations is a plus.
• Experience with sales technology: CRMs, cloud architecture, or telephony / web conference systems.
• Experience with data flows, AI & ML concepts, analytics, APIs, webhooks, or JSON is a plus.
• Understanding of security and privacy pertaining to SaaS systems.
• Understanding of key sales personas and workflows (including forecasting and prospecting) within a GTM organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Able to make the complex sound simple!

Responsibilities

• Work with the Go To Market team as the product expert and account team technical advisor.
• Thoroughly understand all aspects of the Gong platform to explain and demo the technology.
• Be the trusted advisor to prospects and customers to ensure they get the correct outcomes.
• Assist prospects and customers with business assessments (POCs, pilots).
• Craft content to show how Gong supports use cases including MCP and integrations.
• Deliver outcome-based demos, agentic flows and solution diagrams for complex use cases.
• Explain complex business and technical requirements in simple terms.
• Assist with RFPs and questionnaires in sales cycles.
• Help eliminate bottlenecks by working cross-functionally to close deals.
• Partner with Marketing on demand gen activities.
• Contribute reusable assets to Solutions Engineering and the company.
