Job summary

Gong is seeking a Solutions Engineer to act as a trusted technical advisor for prospects and customers, exploring how our AI-first platform can drive strategic goals. You will demo the Gong platform, translate complex needs into practical architectures, and help secure deals across industries.

You will collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Support, Product, and Engineering to craft assets and deliver outcome-based demos for highly complex use cases.

Qualifications

• Customer facing experience in a solutions engineering role (pre-sales) or related work experience.
• Experience selling into Financial Services, Healthcare, or Manufacturing is a plus.
• Experience with sales technology, data flows, AI/ML concepts, APIs, webhooks, or JSON is a plus.
• Understanding of security and privacy pertaining to SaaS systems.
• Understanding of key sales personas and workflows within a GTM organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Able to make the complex sound simple.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Go To Market team as the ultimate product expert and account team technical advisor.
• Thoroughly understand all aspects of the Gong platform to explain and demo the technology to all user types.
• Be the trusted advisor to both prospects and customers to ensure they get the correct business outcomes and value.
• Assist prospects and customers with business assessments (POCs, Pilots).
• Craft content to show customers how to leverage Gong for specific use cases including MCP and integrations.
• Execute the build and delivery of outcome-based demos, agentic flows and solution architecture diagrams for complex use cases.
• Explain complex business and technical requirements in simple terms.
• Assist with RFPs and questionnaires in sales cycles.
• Eliminate bottlenecks by cross-functional collaboration to close deals.
• Partner with Marketing on demand generation activities (webinars, conferences, events).
• Contribute reusable assets to the Solutions Engineering team and the company.
