Job summary

Kai is hiring a Senior Solutions Engineer to cover strategic accounts in the Bay Area and Western region. This is a remote, field-based role with expectations to visit and work out of our San Jose or San Francisco HQ when not in the field.

You will own the technical sales motion in your territory — from first call through POV close — partnering directly with your regional Account Executive to bring Kai’s platform to the largest enterprises in the Bay Area market.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Enterprise Security with pre-sales or SE background.
• Ability to map Kai platform to customer environments and security stacks.
• Hands-on AppSec fluency and vulnerability management knowledge.
• Comfort explaining AI-native, agentic security architecture to technical buyers.

Responsibilities

• Own the full pre-sales technical motion for enterprise opportunities in the Bay Area.
• Design and run POVs with hands-on integration work (APIs, firewall rules, live data feeds).
• Lead deep technical discovery of customer environments and threat models.
• Deliver compelling demos to security architects, SOC, and CISOs, tying platform to business value.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with Global 2000 and Fortune 500 accounts.
• Represent Kai at industry events and customer briefings across the US.
• Provide field intelligence to Product/Engineering and voice of the customer.
