Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a seasoned Solutions Architect in Charlotte, NC to design and integrate complex command center solutions for public safety and enterprise customers. You will collaborate with PMs, engineers, and customers to define requirements, defend technical choices, and guide deployments.

Responsibilities include leading technical decisions, applying systems engineering processes, and identifying risks with mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in technical/engineering field or 8+ years in delivering public safety projects.
• Excellent presentation skills; proficient with drawing/diagramming tools such as Visio.
• Strong verbal and written skills; fluency in English.
• Willing to travel, occasionally, ~25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Understand the technical requirements, concepts of operation, and architecture of the overall solution.
• Lead and defend the project's technical and programmatic decisions with the Project Manager.
• Tailor and apply change management and systems engineering processes across teams.
• Assist Project Management in developing and managing costs and schedules by identifying risks and mitigation options.
• Participate as the technical counterpart to the Project Manager for meetings with third parties, customers, and internal teams.
