Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead customer engagements, design architectures on the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform, and guide implementations with cloud providers. This role emphasizes collaboration with sales, post‑sales, product teams, and partners to deliver meaningful outcomes.

You will become an expert in open source projects like Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Unity Catalog, build reference architectures, and travel to meet customers in your territory.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales or consulting role with big-data technologies
• Experience designing distributed data systems
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Scala, Java, or R
• Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with Spark, Hadoop, Kafka
• Experience with SQL/OLTP/OLAP/DSS
• Undergraduate degree or higher in engineering or mathematics

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to help customers understand how Databricks can help solve their business problems
• Provide technical leadership for customers to evaluate and adopt Databricks
• Consult on big data architecture, execute proof of concepts, and validate integrations
• Build and present reference architectures and how-to’s for customers
• Promote open source projects across developer communities
• Travel to meet with customers in your territory
