Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect for the AppleCare Diagnostics and Repair team in Austin, TX.

You will own the technical direction for designing, qualifying, and implementing diagnostic and repair tools used in field service events, translating customer needs into robust tool designs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across product development, UX, and operations to define requirements, validate performance, and drive deployment of solutions that keep field service

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
8+ years of experience in solutions architecture, engineering, or related technical field.
Ability to translate customer needs and use cases into high-level technical designs.
Working knowledge of product development lifecycles and client-server design principles.

Responsibilities

Engage with stakeholders to understand diagnostic/repair needs and translate into technical requirements.
Collaborate with product teams to establish design and testing parameters.
Propose and document designs for new diagnostic/repair tools.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to refine, develop, and implement tool designs.
Partner with UX designers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
Develop and approve qualification plans to ensure design quality, manage risk, and validate performance.
