Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect for AppleCare Diagnostics and Repair in Sunnyvale, CA.

You will own the technical direction for designing, qualifying, and implementing diagnostic and repair tools used in field service events, and translate customer needs into tool designs. You will collaborate across the product development lifecycle, define design and testing parameters, and develop comprehensive qualification plans to ensure quality, risk management, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience in solutions architecture or a related technical field.
• Ability to translate customer needs and use cases into high-level technical designs.
• Working knowledge of product development lifecycles and client-server design principles.

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to understand their diagnostic and repair needs, and translate those needs into clear technical requirements.
• Collaborate with product development teams to establish design and testing parameters.
• Propose and document designs for new diagnostic and repair tools.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to refine, develop, and implement tool designs.
• Partner with UX designers and other technical stakeholders to ensure seamless system integration and successful deployment.
• Develop and approve comprehensive qualification plans to ensure design quality, manage risk, and validate performance.
