Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Sr. Specialist Solutions Architect to lead deep, technical engagements migrating heterogeneous databases to AWS-native targets. You will leverage AWS DMS, Schema Conversion, and GenAI tools to prototype and demonstrate value, while mentoring others and shaping the product roadmap.

You will represent customer needs across GTM and account teams, deliver reference architectures, and contribute workshops and events to accelerate migrations at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of infrastructure and database architecture experience.
• 5+ years in technology domains (e.g., software, cloud, systems).
• 10+ years IT development or consulting experience.
• Experience migrating legacy solutions to the cloud.
• Knowledge of SQL, Linux, OLAP and relational/NoSQL databases.
• Database migration experience—AWS DMS, Schema Conversion, or replication tools.
• GenAI developer tools (Kiro, Claude CLI) for prototypes/demos.

Responsibilities

• Lead deep technical engagements on database migrations to AWS-native targets.
• Serve as domain expert across the migration toolchain—AWS DMS, Schema Conversion, GenAI tooling.
• Troubleshoot replication, performance, schema and data-validation issues hands-on.
• Build prototypes and demos using GenAI tools to accelerate proofs of concept.
• Represent customer voice to influence the product roadmap.
• Provide advanced technical knowledge to GTM and account teams including escalations.
• Contribute thought leadership via blogs, whitepapers, architectures, workshops and events.
• Create scalable field enablement and mentor other Specialist SAs.
