Qualifications

• Experience in technical pre-sales and solutions architecture engaging customers.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, DevSecOps, security and cloud technologies.
• Proven ability to lead demos, workshops, PoCs and solution design.
• Ability to translate technical trade-offs into business value for executives.
• Fluent in Japanese and professional working proficiency in English.
• Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Mentor teammates and share reusable knowledge with empathy and respect.

Responsibilities

• Lead structured discovery to align customer priorities with GitLab value.
• Collaborate with Account Executives on opportunity strategy and adoption.
• Design architecture, do demos, workshops, and value proofs.
• Create architecture diagrams and proof-of-value plans for customers.
• Explain GitLab's differentiators and handle objections on migration.
• Build relationships with developers and technical leaders across teams.
• Present at webinars and events to support pipeline development.
• Share customer feedback with Product, Engineering and Marketing.
