Job summary

DTN is seeking an experienced Senior Solution Engineer to join our U.S. Agriculture team.

You will combine industry knowledge, technical expertise, and consultative selling to support complex sales opportunities and help customers realize the value of DTN's Agriculture solutions. The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller with commercial acumen, experience with enterprise customers, and the ability to translate complex technical capabilities into meaningful business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working with enterprise customers in Solution Engineering, pre-sales, technical sales, or solution delivery roles.
• Knowledge of the utilities industry.
• Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of how technical solutions contribute to customer value and revenue growth.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and storytelling skills, with the ability to engage, challenge, and educate customers and prospects through value-based conversations.
• Understanding of the challenges businesses face when adopting SaaS solutions as part of their digital transformation initiatives.
• Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into practical business recommendations.
• Strong consultative approach to customer engagement and the ability to build credibility as a trusted technical advisor.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Sales and internal commercial teams to support complex enterprise sales opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with account-assigned sales professionals to advance and close strategic, complex, and technical sales opportunities within DTN's Agriculture business.
• Leverage in-depth industry, product, and technical knowledge to support sales presentations, product demonstrations, and customer discussions.
• Assess customer business requirements and potential applications of DTN's products, developing tailored solution recommendations that address specific needs.
• Deliver compelling technical presentations and demonstrations that communicate product capabilities, differentiate DTN's solutions, and demonstrate customer value.
• Prepare detailed product and solution specifications to support customer implementations, applications, and technical requirements as needed.
• Provide technical consultation to prospective customers and internal commercial teams, including product capability assessments and solution validation.
• Collaborate with Sales and other internal stakeholders to address technical questions, overcome customer objections, and support informed purchasing decisions.
• Drive revenue generation for assigned products by providing the technical expertise necessary to support successful sales outcomes.
• Establish trusted advisor relationships with customers and prospects through consultative engagement, industry insights, and value-based storytelling.
