Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Solution Architect to design, build, and maintain scalable application architecture. You will lead architectural initiatives, mentor teams, and collaborate with analysts, data engineers, and IT leadership to drive strategic technical vision.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in software architecture, strong cloud, API, and AI/ML familiarity, and a track record in large-scale, secure solutions. This is a remote/hybrid role with opportunities across CVS locations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering and architecture roles.
• 5+ years of full stack development experience.
• 5+ years of cloud platforms (GCP/AWS) and microservices.
• Experience with DevOps tools (Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker, Git) and Kafka.
• Proficient in Java, Python, Spring Boot, and frontend frameworks (Angular/JavaScript).
• Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, Generative AI and LLMs.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Experience in interoperability (FHIR HL7) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute architectural strategies aligned with project objectives.
• Lead and supervise architectural initiatives within projects/areas.
• Develop architectural designs ensuring standards and best practices.
• Mentor and guide junior and senior architects in project tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver architectural solutions.
• Work with business analysts, data engineers, IT teams, and management to align needs.
• Assess new technologies and recommend adoption where applicable.
• Lead architecture design reviews and identify gaps for improvements.
• Drive modernization opportunities for Healthcare Business Unit.
