Job summary

District of Columbia seeks a senior enterprise architect to own the STAAND architecture, drive cross-cloud and AI initiatives, and coordinate complex security and compliance requirements across GCC and commercial Azure environments.

You will lead design authority reviews, align with federal audits, and guide vendor relationships while ensuring scalable, secure data platforms and compliant workflows.

Qualifications

• 20+ years progressive IT experience.
• 16+ years solution or enterprise architecture on enterprise-scale systems.
• 8+ years Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE / Dataverse / Power Platform hands-on.
• 7+ years lead or principal architect on full D365 implementation lifecycles (min. 2 lifecycles).
• 5+ years Microsoft Azure architecture and hands-on build (PaaS integration, data, identity).
• 2 years cross-cloud or cross-tenant architecture (government vs commercial).
• 2+ years Generative AI / agentic development in production.

Responsibilities

• Own STAAND architecture and platform standards across all modules.
• Build in the platform: model-driven app config, custom APIs, PCF controls, TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Lead security, governance, and data residency compliance.
• Define boundary between GCC Dynamics/Power Platform and Azure services.
• Mentor staff and coordinate with vendors and auditors.
• Drive DevOps maturity and release management.
• Oversee AFCARS/NCANDS/NYTD reporting architecture.
