• Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, biology, natural resource management, or related field.
• Three years of progressively responsible professional experience in solid waste recycling, diversion, or compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local solid waste laws and regulations.
• Plan, supervise, and evaluate staff in the Solid Waste Division.
• Analyze operational and fiscal impacts of regulations and adjust programs.
• Conduct complex analyses of solid waste data to assess program effectiveness.
• Prepare compliance, safety, and performance reports for regulatory agencies.
• Manage budgets and develop cost projections for rates.
• Develop and implement new solid waste programs and services.
• Prepare RFPs and manage vendor proposals and contracts.
• Oversee grant applications and funding agreements.
• Ensure landfill permit updates and emissions compliance.
• Provide regulatory support and guidance to staff and city departments.
• Engage with the community on waste management policies and programs.
• Oversee landfill data systems and customer billing; resolve service issues.
• Plan and deliver public education on waste reduction and recycling.
