Job summary

Enbridge Inc. in Stockdale, TX is seeking a Lead Solar Technician to provide hands‑on field leadership and drive the safe, reliable operation of a solar facility.

You will coordinate maintenance, mentor technicians, and ensure work aligns with safety standards and company procedures. The role requires a degree in an electrical field and 5+ years of solar or electrical assets experience (or 3+ years as a Solar Electrician).

Qualifications

• College degree in an electrical field with 5+ years in solar or electrical assets.
• Experience maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing PV equipment and BOP assets.
• Skilled reading electrical drawings, schematics and applicable code requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical and field leadership for solar facility operations.
• Lead maintenance, inspections, testing, switching, and troubleshooting of solar and BOP equipment.
• Coordinate technicians and contractors ensuring safety and permits are followed.
• Use SCADA, drawings and OEM manuals to assess performance and resolve issues.
• Lead pre-job planning, risk assessments, and control of hazardous energy.
• Support technician development and promote teamwork and accountability.
• Identify risks and contribute to investigations and maintain work records in Maximo.
