Job summary

Enbridge is seeking a Lead Solar Technician to supervise safe, reliable operation of a solar facility in Stockdale, TX. You will lead complex maintenance, coordinate technicians and contractors, and ensure work is planned and executed with strict safety and procedures.

You will bring a electrical-field degree and 5+ years of solar/electrical asset experience, with strong SCADA, diagnostics, and schematic-reading skills. This on-site role requires 24/7 on-call readiness and a safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• College degree in electrical field and at least five years of relevant experience with solar or electrical assets.
• Advanced experience maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing PV equipment and Balance of Plant assets.
• Strong field leadership, judgment, and ability to work under time-sensitive conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical and field leadership to support safe, reliable operation of the solar facility.
• Lead maintenance, inspections, testing, electrical switching, and advanced troubleshooting of solar and Balance of Plant equipment.
• Coordinate technicians and contractors, ensure work follows safety requirements and permits.
• Use SCADA, diagrams, OEM manuals to assess performance and resolve issues.
• Lead pre-job planning, risk assessments, and hazardous energy controls.
• Coach technicians, promote teamwork and accountability.
• Identify risks/opportunities and maintain records in Maximo.
