Job summary
AES Corporation seeks a Senior Development Engineer to drive solar PV and integrated battery energy storage system project development across the US and internationally. You will work with a team to qualify new opportunities, perform due diligence, and respond to RFPs from utilities and others, coordinating with Business Development, Execution and Finance.
The ideal candidate has deep experience in PV and storage design, 2–500MW scale, and familiarity with project economics and PPA concepts.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in renewable energy project development and design.
- Strong proficiency with PV/battery storage system modeling tools.
- Experience with RFP responses and technical due diligence.
- CAD proficiency for preliminary layouts and designs.
Responsibilities
- Develop solar PV and battery storage concepts and evaluate project viability.
- Perform technical due diligence and respond to RFPs from utilities and municipalities.
- Coordinate with Business Development, Execution and Finance teams.
- Create technical deliverables and coordinate external consultants as needed.
- Contribute to process improvement and innovation in project development.
