DNV Energy Systems' Renewables and Power Grids group seeks a Senior Solar Energy Analyst to join the Solar Energy Assessments team in North America. You will analyze solar resource data, build energy yield models, and produce bankable reports for utility-scale and commercial projects.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to analyze solar and climatic datasets.
• Experience building energy yield models and bankable assessments.
• Strong statistical analysis and QA skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct long-term solar resource and energy production assessments for utility-scale, distributed generation, commercial & industrial, community solar, residential, and hybrid projects.
• Analyze solar and climatic datasets, perform energy modeling, predict energy production, and conduct statistical uncertainty analyses.
• Analyze operational production and performance data from solar plants, evaluate resource variability, derive modeling parameters, assess system losses including degradation, and support bankable energy yield assessments.
• Prepare technical reports, communicate findings to customers and stakeholders, and conduct quality assurance activities while improving methodologies.
• Collaborate to implement latest industry methods, develop analytical tools and software workflows, and contribute as a trusted expert.
