Job summary

DNV Energy Systems is seeking a Senior Solar Energy Analyst to join the Solar Energy Assessments team in North America. You will deliver data-driven solar resource and energy production analyses for utility-scale and distributed projects.

The role requires deep expertise in solar modeling, MCP analyses, and communication of technical results to clients and project teams, with a focus on high-quality deliverables and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, atmospheric science, mathematics, environmental science, or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in solar energy assessments in North America.
• Strong understanding of solar resource assessment, energy production modelling, and PV system operation.
• Experience with MCP analyses and solar resource variability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct long-term solar resource and energy production assessments for diverse solar projects.
• Analyze production data, evaluate resource variability, and support bankable energy yield assessments.
• Prepare technical reports and communicate findings to customers and stakeholders.
• Contribute to analytical tool development and workflow improvements.
